The TOC Managing Director, Bertha Kalongelwa, was one of the panel speakers at NORS 2026 in Lagos. The summit brought together Africa's refining, upstream and trading leaders to discuss the continent's refining future.

Titanium Oil Corporation (TOC) is proud to have taken part in the Nigeria Oil Refining Summit (NORS) 2026. The summit was held on 28–29 September 2026 at Eko Hotels & Suites in Lagos, Nigeria. Our Managing Director, Bertha Kalongelwa, was one of the key speakers and joined a panel of industry leaders on the main stage.

About the summit:
This was the third edition of NORS. It was hosted by the Crude Oil Refinery Owners Association of Nigeria (CORAN) under the theme "Refining for Value: Linking Upstream Supply to Downstream Demand." Policymakers, regulators, refinery operators, crude producers, global traders, investors and technology providers came together to look at how Nigeria, and Africa more widely, can become a net exporter of refined petroleum products.

The main discussions covered:

• Crude supply security: Nigeria's refining capacity is growing fast, led by the Dangote Refinery and a wave of modular refineries. Speakers stressed that crude production has to keep pace to feed these plants.

• Upstream and downstream working together: Producers and refiners called for clear, competitive ways of supplying crude to local refineries.

• Infrastructure and logistics: Pipelines, storage and midstream assets need to be stronger to move products efficiently.

• Investment, financing and exports: The summit looked at how to fund the sector's growth and position African refined products for regional and global markets.

Other speakers included representatives of Dangote Industries, Matthieu Bouyer (Chairman of the Oil Producers Trade Section and MD of TotalEnergies EP Nigeria), Adegbite Falade (Chairman of the Independent Petroleum Producers Group and MD of Aradel Holdings) and CORAN Chairman Momoh Oyarekhua.

TOC's voice on the panel
Bertha Kalongelwa brought the perspective of a regional supplier of petroleum products to the discussion. TOC trades and distributes fuel across Southern, Central and East Africa. She spoke about the part that dependable trading and supply partnerships play in getting refined products to markets beyond the refinery gate. As African refining capacity grows, new opportunities open up for landlocked and import-dependent markets such as Zambia, and TOC is committed to being part of that value chain.
